Since 1993, Gaysha Starr has been one of Seattle's most active drag queen activists and community leaders. Here is a timeline of some of her past titles held and work she has served in her community.

AUGUST 1993—Gaysha was the winner of the first Miss Neighbours Pageant starting a relationship for over sixteen years with Seattle's longest running gay dance bar. 

JULY 1994—Gaysha was crowned the LaFemme Magnifique Seattle- a pageant that crowns "The most beautiful and glamorous female impersonator in Seattle." It also serves as the regional pageant for the International Pageant every Labor Day Weekend in Portland, Oregon. Sponsored by Darcelle XV.

SEPTEMBER 1994—Gaysha represents Seattle at the 13th Annual LaFemme Magnifique International- "An Oriental Fantasy". She is crowned the first Seattle winner competing against eleven other drag queens across the United States. She served her year making public appearances across the Northwest and Canada, using her to raise money and awareness for various charities.

APRIL 1996—Gaysha competes and wins the title of Miss Gay Washington 1996-1997. With this title she represents the Imperial Courts of Washington- GLBT charity and community service chapters in Seattle, Bellingham, Everett, Spokane, Tacoma, and Vancouver by travelling across the west coast to perform at city Gay Pageants, Imperial Coronations and other fundraisers.

Outside of the court system she brought mainstream visibility to the title of Miss Gay Washington by working with PFLAAG- Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.

FEBRUARY 1998—Gaysha was appointed the title of Crown Princess to Rainier XXIV Harry, the Emperor of Seattle. She served as a confidant to one of the figure heads of the Imperial Sovereign Court of Seattle. This title also prepared her for a her next endeavor.

FEBRUARY 1999—Gaysha was elected through a city wide vote as the first Asian Pacific Islander Empress of Seattle, Olympia XXIX. Her campaign was one of the biggest the city ever saw and was sponsored by five of Seattle's biggest Gay bars: Aro.space, the Cuff, Neighbours, RPlace, Timberline where she had 5x7 foot banners in each bars. There were weekly advertisements in the Seattle Gay News, twenty days straight in drag, and she even performed at Club Seattle- a private bath house at 2AM the night before voting. 

She shared this title with her Emperor Mitchell BOXX, serving as figureheads for the Imperial Sovereign Court of Seattle, one of Seattle's oldest charities and volunteer groups. Primarily they raise money for other GLBT groups and organizations through drag shows.

Together through their leadership they raised over $10,000 for GLBT youth for The JC/Lady Graytop Memorial Scholarship Fund ,and an additional $15.000 for other charities.

Also during her reign she travelled and performed in over fifteen cities across the United States and Canada, revived the Empress Express- a week long event of shows and events at seven Gay bars on Capitol Hill and brought visibility of the title of Empress back to the Seattle's GLBT community. 

SEPTEMBER 2001—Gaysha was appointed along with three other Asian/Pacific Islander Drag Legends- Asia Cache, Lola Maharlika, and Smokee the honorary title of Miss Gay API Emeritus. This annual pageant honors the best in Seattle drag in the Gay API community.

SEPTEMBER 2001—In response to the terrorist attacks in New York on 9/11, Gaysha produced "Bars Give Back" a month long series of fundraisiers held at fourteen Gay bars. Through the support of the Seattle Gay Standard, three GLBT organizations, and fourteen drag queens the city wide event raised over $10,000 for the Children's Aid Society in New York City.

SEPTEMBER 2002—Gaysha was appointed the title of Miss Gay Filipino Emeritus honoring her then, nine years of community
